Vermont Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators Strength Through Change A Vermont Financial Aid Conference Killington Grand Resort Hotel & Conference Center Tuesday, June 15, 2010 & Wednesday, June 16, 2010 *************************************
The Conference Committee has been working hard putting together an agenda that will serve many interests. Our theme this year, “Strength through Change” seems only fitting as we begin another year with many changes on the way. As we begin our year with many questions, the sessions offered will help us answer those questions and we are sure create some new ones. We will of course have our state, regional, and federal updates-sessions we all look forward to. Our keynote speaker this year is Akol Aguek, who is an Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Vermont. Akol will unfold his personal history as one of Sudan’s “Lost Boys,” a generation separated from his family and homeland by years of war. He will describe the experience of being one of thousands fleeing across hundreds of miles of desert, and how his remarkable journey brought him to the University of Vermont. His story is one of “strength through change.” CLICK HERE FOR PRELIMINARY AGENDA We are pleased to offer online registration with assistance from the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation. Registration is available now through June 4th. CLICK HERE FOR ONLINE CONFERENCE REGISTRATION The Killington Grand will once again welcome us to their facility.
